Founded in late 2009 by professionals in tunnel design and construction. Today, an engineering and architecture consultancy based in Oviedo with an office in Getafe.
Who we are
From underground works to everyday engineering
The firm was born to put the experience of a team trained in tunnels and underground works to work with more dedication and exclusivity than a conventional engineering practice. That balance between design and construction support keeps us in touch with the latest solutions in materials, methods and technology.
Over the years the same team has covered the rest of the cycle: buildings and public facilities, urban development, hydraulics, heritage, site supervision, health and safety coordination and technical assistance to local councils. The speciality is still underground; the trade covers the whole of construction.

Foundation
ALFESTAL ingeniería is founded, specialising in tunnels, underground works and geotechnics.
Going international
Santo Domingo Metro, Line 4 of the Rio de Janeiro Metro, tenders in Panama and the Chennai Metro.
India and Pajares
Delhi Metro contracts CC-04, CC-07 and CC-18, waterproofing of the Pajares tunnels and entry into linear works and structures.
Microtunnels and water
El Sapo, IDRIS in Doha, Panama Bay sanitation, emergency shafts on the Sants – Sagrera high-speed line and site supervision for public authorities.
Full engineering practice
Head office in Oviedo. Design, site supervision, health and safety coordination and municipal technical assistance across the country.

The engineer who writes the design is the one who answers on site. There is no team for selling and another for delivering.
Data before drawings
If the geotechnical report, the survey or the consumption records are missing, we say so at the start and record it in the design.

Real measurements and justified unit prices, with health and safety, quality control and waste as separate, properly funded sections.
Paperwork fit for a public client
Digitally signed delivery in PDF/A, DWG and BC3, structured as the tender documents require.

Three-dimensional ground and structure models, excavation stages and settlements, checked against real monitoring data.
